Standard Raid Revenant
For Revenants it is really important they time their CC skills. During the split Revenant can swap to staff, use Surge of the Mists (Staff 5) on the Blue or Green Guardian and swap back to Sword / Axe in time for Vale Guardian again. In addition Revenant should pulse protection with Facet of Chaos. It really helps surviving the double aura damage, especially since you will take more damage from the aura which you are not attuned to. For Vale Guardian itself we recommend using Temporal Rift and Chaotic Release (double click your Facet of Chaos / Herald elite) for CC. If your group really lacks CC, you might swap to Staff and use Sruge of the Mists for it. Also if your group lacks seeker control you can help out with a well placed Chaotic Release, however you will lose your CC ability or protection during the split.
On Gorseval it's important to time your CC. If your group wants to break Gorseval as fast as possible you have to time your Legendary stances. For Gorseval's breakbar you want to be on the Legendary Dragon Stance (Glint) and use Temporal Rift + Chaotic Release. If your group really lacks CC, only then you want to swap to Staff and use Surge of the Mists.
Sabetha is a relatively easy fight for Revenant. Since the Revenant's strength is CC and boon sharing you don't need to worry about too much during this fight. The only Breakbar has Knuckles who spawns at 50% of Sabetha's hp. His Breakbar is fairly easy to break. We recommend using Temporal Rift only.
Another important point is that Revenant should start pulsing protection when Sabetha returns at 25% by using Facet of Chaos. At 25% you will encounter heavy pressure due to sealing falling down. Protection makes it easier to keep up scholar and increases your survivability in general. However don't use your Chaotic Release when pulsing protection, just swap your Legendary Stance to Jalis when your energy is about to run out, so your Facet of Chaos is off cooldown the next time you swap back to Glint.
For Slothasor's breakbar you can swap to Staff and use Surge of the Mists everytime. Most of the time you have enough time swapping back to Sword / Axe. In addition you can also use Temporal Rift and Chaotic Release for breakbar damage.
After you break Slothasor's breakbar, he will fear everyone in your group. So Revenants should bring the trait Harmonize Continuity to stun break your Mesmer and 4 other player in your raid group. We recommend using it while swapping Legendary Stances since it breaks stun. If you can't swap you also have the opportunity using Gaze if Darkness to break stun, however you will not pulse fury for the time it's on cool down. Another point to consider is that the trait "Harmonize Continuity" only works if you break stun yourself. If you block the fear or someone else stun breaks you before somehow, you won't be able to stun break other group members. So make sure you have fear as debuff on your bar while breaking yourself!
Furthermore Revenant can take the first Mushroom, since Mesmer will do his Continuum Split rotation at the beginning and cap quickness without the 50% boon duration from Facet of Nature. (Only with the right rotation though. If you don't have faith in your Mesmer's abilities you want a different class to take that Mushroom.
On Matthias, Revenant is really helpful with it's CC abilities. Every 45 seconds starting at 9:45 on timer a player in your group will be sacrificed. This mechanic only continues until 40% of Matthias's hp You have to break this player in a short time window. Also the faster you break the player, the earlier he can go back to dps the boss again. For CC we recommend swapping to Staff and using Surge of the Mists (Staff 5) everytime. Furthermore you should also use Temporal Rift and Chaotic Release if possible.
Since this fight suffers under heavy pressure you can pulse protection with Facet of Chaos and give your team more survivability. However it's a small dps loss for you since you won't trigger Equilibrium in the Invocation traitline anymore but if your group needs that survivability don't worry about that small dps loss. However don't use your Chaotic Release when pulsing protection, just swap your Legendary Stance to Jalis when your energy is about to run out, so your Facet of Chaos is off cooldown the next time you swap back to Glint. As mentioned before this fight suffers from heavy pressure and you might find yourself in a situation where you will die any moment becaue you have to bring out poison or have the special action key, the glint heal Infuse Light (double click Facet of Light) is a life saver. So make sure you safe it.
Keep Construct is a pretty straight forward fight for Revenant. For Keep Construct's breakbar Revenant can use all of their CC abilities such as Surge of the Mists, Chaotic Release and Temporal Rift. Since he goes invulnerable after his breakbar, you don't lose any dps by swapping to Staff for CC.
Revenant is also helpful during the phase where you collect colored orbs, at 66% and 33% health. Keep Construct will become invulnerable. Red and white orbs start spawning and try to reach him in the middle. By blocking those orbs you will take a lot of damage. Revenant should start pulsing protection with Facet of Chaos and give your team more survivability. Also if you swap to Jalis you can use Rite of the Great Dwarf (Jalis Elite) which will give 5 members of your group 50% damage reduction.
For the DPS phase, just try to have a clean rotation to deal as much damage as you can. Check dps rotation HERE.
